Inside Sales Account Developer


The position
As Inside Sales Account Developer you are focusing on securing business and develop the right mix of customer/cargo/corridor to fill the ships with the most profitable cargo. You will be managing all irregular, spot, lost and new customers and your sales efforts will primarily be by phone and email and not by customer visits. You will have to understand the market, customer and industry as part of feedback and learning.

Your key tasks will be to do customer acquisitions and make irregular customers regular. One of your key sources for genuine opportunities will be from various marketing activities done by your marketing department.

Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Identify ‘high potential’ customers and develop the relationship;
• Execute profitability analysis to enable market related response to rate inquiries;
• Facilitate effective execution of, and follow-up on, client satisfaction surveys;
• Perform general administrative sales work;
• Revenue & yield opportunity reviews;
• Increase customer satisfaction & loyalty.

Our preferred candidate

Must develop and engage into new customers, manage the selling process to external customers and be an integral part of the Inside Sales team managing client related initiatives. The candidate has to ensure cross department communication & understanding and must be a senior sales representative in case of important opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a person who has good business, market & customer understanding, able to build long term relationships and capable of maximising the value of your customer portfolio.

A person that can inspire, motivate, communicate & collaborate and thereby driving the necessary changes in process, organization and customer satisfaction. A person that feels very comfortable with engaging with customers over the phone.
